Winterberry (Michigan Holly)

Mature height: 3′ – 12′

Native to Michigan and Van Buren County. Prefers medium to wet moisture, and sandy to clay soils. Growth rate is medium to slow. Attracts birds. Useful for hedging and rain gardens. Showy red berries retained through winter. Good for wet or boggy areas. Must have both male and female plants to produce berries*.

*VBCD cannot guarantee that plants will be mixed to produce berries, however, as plants are sold in groups of at least 5, it is likely that they will produce fruit.
